Spruell & Powell was formed in 2001, merging the law practices of Alyce Manley Spruell and Joseph E. Powell. Alyce has practiced law since 1983, including service as development officer for the University of Alabama School of Law. Joe has been in practice since 1998. The firm is located in historic downtown Northport at the corner of Main Avenue and 10th Street in a century-old, completely restored home.

The firm serves clients in a variety of areas including insurance defense, employment law, civil litigation, business and commercial law, probate and estate, domestic relations, juvenile and family law, alternative dispute resolution and mediation, and title and real property law. We practice in all Alabama trial and appellate courts as well as the federal courts.
